We received notice on June 4, 2009, from DCA South Coordinator Vic Kulinski that Austin Stars Drum and Bugle Corps passed the Drum Corps Associates evaluation process and is now an official A Class DCA Corps!
Thanks to everyone for their support as we underwent the review process!
So what are you waiting for? Austin Stars, the ONLY competitive DCA corps in central Texas has a few spots remaining in all sections!

Based on recent recommendations by the Austin Stars Board of Directors and Staff, our rehearsal schedule has been reduced!
Austin Stars' Rehearsals will take place at Rouse High School (1501 CR 271 Leander, TX 78641) from 12 noon until 5 pm unless otherwise noted below!
Dates:
July 11--Rouse HSJuly 25--Rouse HS Registration begins at 11:30 am, and rehearsal begins promptly at noon. Spots remain open in all sections! For more information, please contact the caption head/instructors directly! |
The Austin Stars Performing Arts Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide a wide variety of performance opportunities for adults and youth of all ages. We currently support two performance groups: the Austin Stars Drum and Bugle Corps and the Austin Independent Winterguard. Austin Stars Drum and Bugle Corps is Central Texas' only competitive all-age drum corps. In 2008, the Corps fielded a successful and entertaining show, and we're looking forward to another successful season in 2009. The Corps participates in the Drum Corps Associates South Region, and plans on attending the DCA Finals in Rochester, NY, in August of 2009. Rehearsals begin in December 2008, and we're looking to fill positions in all areas of the Corps. If you're interested, please fill out our Online Registration form. Austin Independent Winterguard (ATX Winterguard) is a youth education, performing-arts organization dedicated to the development of self-esteem and self-reliance of adolescents. It encourages team work, sportsmanship, civic pride and contributions of one's personal best to a group effort through a musical- and performance-focused activity in which there is a blending of the arts and athletics.
